Take your golf game to the next level…
…Get personalized online coaching in all areas of your game, including your fitness!
Why Online Golf Performance Coaching?
Golf is hard, golf lessons and personal training are expensive, and having a regular coach is generally not feasible for most golfers.
Online coaching is NOT the next best thing… it is THE BEST way to improve your game.
Here’s why…
- Consistent, personalized weekly contact with your coach
- You learn how to play golf, not play golf swing
- Personalized game plan for improvement
- You don’t need to schedule lessons or personal training sessions
- Strength and fitness coaching and you can train at home
Let’s have a look at each of these issues.
Consistent, personalized contact
When you hire an online coach, you get personalized contact every month through phone or Zoom and weekly feedback for your game and fitness program via Turnkey Coach.
You learn how to play golf, not play golf swing
I would venture to guess that 80-90% of all golf lessons involve a lesson on the driving range to help fix a student’s swing.
What usually happens is the student gets a new idea to try and make their swing work a little better, but they never learn much about why.
I can tell you that the goal of those instructors is to get you to hit a few good shots during that lesson so you book another lesson.
In the meantime, most students never really learn much about playing golf, and they don’t improve much.
Personalized Game Plan
A good online coach will take the time to understand your goals, your abilities, and the amount of time you can dedicate to practice.
Once that is understood, a game plan for improvement can be developed.
You will most certainly not receive that level of service from a traditional instructor, as they just don’t have the time.
Most golf instructors spend hours per day on the range working with students.
Unless you are willing to continue to schedule lessons, you simply won’t get the feedback necessary to help you lower your scores.
Personalized Fitness Plan
Golf fitness is the latest craze, as golfers look to take their game to another level through improved strength and mobility.
However, similar to golf lessons, it can be quite expensive to hire a personal trainer, and many people don’t get much stronger and fit just by going to a gym with no plan.
A performance coach who has knowledge of both golf and fitness provides you with the best of both worlds, and you can train at home, on your schedule.
Each week you simply follow the workout plan provided to you, and if you are training barbell lifts, you can upload video of you performing them for critique and guidance.
Train and practice on your own schedule
With an online golf performance coach, you don’t need to schedule in person lessons, or even online discussions.
You simply upload the results of your practice or training session, a video of your swing, putting stroke or you performing a deadlift (or any lift you feel you need help with), and your coach will reply within 24 hours with feedback.
Then, once each month you can set up a call to discuss any changes that may be needed for your program.
There is also no need to go to a gym if you have equipment at home, or if you desire training that does not involve full equipment.
Your coach can fully accommodate your needs with programming designed for you and your schedule.
Who is Scott Cole?
I know you don’t need the full bio here, but you will want to know that I’m not some 5 handicapper passing myself off as a golf coach.
With that said, I am 58 years old, married for a second time and have three adult daughters via marriage number 1, and three adult stepchildren.
I was good enough in high school to earn a scholarship to play at William and Mary.
After my freshman year, I made it through to sectional qualifying for the US Open. Back then, we had to play 36 holes in local qualifying.
I won the last spot in a 5 way playoff, which included a tour player, Stu Ingraham.
I didn’t really learn about how to play golf until later in life, as I simply played off of talent.
In 2009 I traveled to Texas to attend Hank Haney’s annual teaching seminar, and I returned the following year.
I remained enrolled in Hank’s instructor program for a couple more years thereafter.
As a kid, I played baseball (pitcher and third base), and I swam competitively through high school, competing at the state level in PA on a couple relays.
From 2000 to 2008, I studied the martial art of Pai Lum, a mix of kung fu and kenpo.
Over the last three years I’ve been training with barbells and I’ve focused significant attention on strength coaching.
I currently pay my bills as a commercial real estate appraiser, which I’ve done for 35 years.
That’s me in a nutshell.
